I grew up mostly in the San Francisco Bay Area and consider it my “hometown,” though I consider Southern California — where I lived while I was in graduate school — my “home.” I dabbled in many things throughout life but most of my life revolved around computers and the church, one of which a person cannot live without and the other of which a person should not. The topics of religion and technology are very much interrelated, but I think it is unfortunate that they are rarely talked about together.

My undergraduate degree is in Computer Engineering from University of California at Davis. My graduate degree is in Intelligent Robotics from University of Southern California. I worked with some former Nintendo engineers in-between the two degrees, making virtual video games and consumer electronics. I currently live in the New York City and work at Fidessa, a company that provides trading systems and services to broker firms on Wall Street.
